GREENERGY HYBRID WORKSHOP on

Resilient Vertical Forest Renovation of Reinforced Concrete Structures in Seismic-Prone Areas

Organized under the research project GREENERGY

The VF structure was tested on the seismic table at the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTh) as part of a comprehensive experimental program consisting of 28 seismic tests. Among these, the EQ0.14g excitation (top video) represented a low-intensity seismic event, while the EQ1.40g excitation (bottom video) corresponded to the maximum shaking level. The lower excitation produced minor vibrations with limited response, whereas the 1.40g test caused severe dynamic motion, clearly demonstrating the structure’s deformation behavior and damage progression under extreme seismic demands.
